Room of Requirement

The Room of Requirement is an informal place where you can put down vague

half-ideas or planned rule-changes, or take and develop somebody else's idea.

 

  • Any Rule that has not directly influenced the game in the last 20 turns is deleted from the ruleset. - an idea from mr coxy, 13/3/07

  • A formal Debate period, with adversarial court-like Proposer and Opposer.

  • Formalising the wiki itself, and its structure, in a rule.

  • PTomic should be unwinnable!

  • A separate mini-board -- I imagine it being maybe 7x7 and called the Astral Plane, composed of Astral Cells, to which the normal rules of the Board and Cells don't apply. Subsequent rules could then govern how to travel to the Astral Plane and back to the Board, possibly ending up in a totally different place on the Board from where you left it. Another rule could define Astral Plane horses, or Pegasi, which would simultaneously occupy a cell on the board and an Astral Cell on the Astral Plane; after mounting a Pegasus, a player could then choose to dismount either onto the Board or onto the Astral Plane. A Pegasus could mate with a horse and have a random chance of producing either a horse or a Pegasus, or possibly even a Half-Pegasus! - themink, 3 Apr 07

  • During any move, the player with the highest number of negative oranges may challenge the player with the highest number of oranges to a duel. If the challenger wins the duel, the two players' oranges are re-distributed equally among those two players. If the challenger loses the duel, the winner shall order the loser to compose a limerick, or a haiku, or an acronym. The loser shall not receive any reward for the poem, haiku or acronym. - cloverkitty, 23 Jan 08
  • Sculpture Trademark rule applies to all forms of the word the sculpture is named. For instance, "I'm confused" would violate the sculpture trademark for Confusing(tm). - cloverkitty, 23 Jan 08
  • Conservation of Oranges should apply to all Orange-changes, not just Players'.
  • The nature of the Bean-movement should be clarified.
