Much petty quibbling then ensued.

Wisely, the Pilot chose

Not to join in, but to draw up

Something new to Propose,

With which he could resolve the point

That had provoked the row.

Anita claimed not to Propose

'Cause she was not sure how.

Deced suggested two new Rules,

The Sec said, "Oh, brother!"

Either might be good, but each did

Contradict the other:

One - there should be a fixed total

Of Oranges in play.

Two - each Move there should be less fruit,

As Oranges decay.

The Rani, now disguised as Mel,

Proposed that a Limey

Who'd won a Lemon and at least

Five Oranges should be

Allowed to supplement their score

By robbing someone who

Had a total of Oranges

That numbered more than two.

"Why not add some new types of fruit?"

Asked deced. "A kumquat?"

The Rani sent an Answer to

The Sec 'fore she forgot.

Roddy badly misunderstood

Rules governing the 'flu.

His error was soon pointed out,

Which left him feeling blue.

Apart from a few cyber-hugs,

Not a lot more occurred.
